Metal Beads

Metal Beads are used within Drywall Plasterboard and Wet Plaster/Render applications to greatly reduce the time taken to form sharp corner joints, stop ends and various other architectural and aesthetic details. Metal Beads also provide protection and strengthen fragile plaster and plasterboard edges and corners.

There are many different  types of metal beads for many different applications and these include the following:- Metal Angle Plaster Bead provides a defined, straight corner which in turn protects and reinforces the plaster. Available to suit a 10mm or 13mm Plaster thickness. Metal Stop Plaster Bead provides a finish and reinforces the plaster edges. Available to suit a 10mm, 13mm, 16mm or 19mm Plaster thickness. Metal Movement Plaster Bead forms a movement joint in the plaster/render finish, however should not be used over structural movement joints.

Available to suit 13mm Plaster thickness. Metal Feature Plaster Beads which provide various types of features and details within a Plaster finish. Thin Coat Angle Plaster Bead provides a defined, straight corner which in turn protects and reinforces the Plaster Skim Coat. Available to suit a 3mm Skim Coat of Plaster. Thin Coat Angle Drywall Bead provides a reinforced corner to the plasterboard. Available to take a 3mm Plaster Skim finish. 135 Degree Thin Coat Angle Drywall Bead provides reinforcement to 135 degree plasterboard corners. Available to suit a 3mm Plaster Skim finish. Thin Coat Stop Drywall Bead provides a defined, straight finish which in turn reinforces and protects a thin coat of Plaster. Available to suit a 3mm and 6mm Skim Coat of Plaster. Metal Feature Drywall Beads which provide various types of features and details to plasterboard and are available to suit 9.5mm, 12.5mm and 15mm Plasterboard. Plasterboard Edge Bead is a reversible, dual purpose metal bead which reinforces and protects the plasterboard edge by enclosing them in a protective metal case. Available to suit 9.5mm, 12.5mm and 15mm Plasterboard and to take a 2mm Skim Coat of Plaster.

Other types of metal beads include Stainless Steel Beads where increased resistance to the elements and corrosion is required. There are also a range of metal render beads specifically designed to take a rendered finish externally.
